Pet Licenses and Tags
If you live in Terrebonne Parish and you own a cat or dog 3 months of age and older with the exception of community cats, your pet needs a license per Sec. 5-7. Licensing; Failure to License of the Parish Code. The license certificate must include the name and address of the owner, a description of the dog or cat including its breed, color, gender, and date of birth or estimated age, and the year and number of the license tag. Licenses are good for one year from the date of purchase.
- If your cat/dog is spayed/neutered, the license fee is $5 a year.
- If your cat/dog is NOT spayed/neutered, the license fee is $10 a year.
Applying for a Pet License
- Print and complete the annual pet license tag form .
- Attach a photocopy of a current rabies vaccination certificate issued by a licensed vet.
- Attach a photocopy of verification of spay/neuter by a licensed vet (if applicable).
- Write a check or money order for the correct amount payable to TPCG.
- Mail all documents with payment to:

In Person
- Print and complete the annual pet license tag form .
- Bring a photocopy of a current rabies vaccination certificate issued by a licensed vet.
- Bring a photocopy of verification of spay/neuter by a licensed vet (if applicable).
- Bring a check or money order for the correct amount payable to TPCG.
- Stop by the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter during business hours.
