Who we are
Two separate levels of operations fall within the Department of Public Works. The first is the Operations of Forced and Gravity Drainage, Fleet Maintenance, and Telemetry. The second is the Operations of Animal Control, Bridges, Government Facilities, and Roads. Each level has its own set of responsibilities and functions.
The Operations of Animal Control, Bridges, Government Facilities, and Roads is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the animal control facilities, bridges, government buildings, and roadways within the Parish. This includes ensuring that the animal control facilities are clean and safe, maintaining the bridges in good working condition, keeping the government buildings clean and well-maintained, and ensuring that the roadways are safe for travel.
