NWS Short-Term Hazarous Weather Update - January 25, 10:35AM
Here is an update concerning the severe weather and heavy rain threat.
Overview:
- A strong line of storms is moving eastward and should exit the area this afternoon, moving fast enough to minimize heavy rainfall threat.
- After the line exits the area, only light to moderate rain expected behind the line
- After the line clears the area, we get a break in the weather until after midnight tonight
Hazards:
- Isolated brief gusty winds along the line of storms
- High winds over waters with the line
- Brief intense rainfall rates with the heaviest storms along the line
Confidence:
We're confident the line will progress eastward and exit the area by the afternoon, but we're less confident that we will see severe weather with the line or that it will slow down.
