TPLS to Host Ask-A-Lawyer on October 23 and October 26
Terrebonne Parish Library System will host Ask-A-Lawyer at the Main Library on the following dates:
- October 23, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- October 26, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Patrons with individual legal issues can receive a free 15-minute consultation through the Ask-A-Lawyer sessions.
Sessions are on a first come, first served basis on the following topics: bankruptcy, civil lawsuits, collection matters, custody, divorce, evictions, FEMA/disaster benefits, SNAP, foreclosures, housing, Medicaid, Social Security, SSI/SSDI, successions, taxes and wills.
This program is offered in partnership with the Louisiana State Bar Association to host the Legal Education Assistance Program as part of Lawyers in Libraries week.
