Volunteers Needed for Civic Pride Day Beautification - Sunday, Nov. 6
The word is out, on November 10, Houma will celebrate National Civic Pride Day – its official national holiday dedicated to civic pride.
Civic pride belongs to the people who are at the heart of the city they live in. It brings communities together and encourages everyone to feel a sense of pride by creating and maintaining a healthy city or town. We want to inspire everyone to get involved and show support by improving Houma.
Help us demonstrate civic pride by joining us this Sunday, November 6, 2022, to clean up downtown Houma. Grab some gloves, wear some comfortable shoes, and meet us in the Courthouse Square at 9:00 a.m. (Look for the Explore Houma Tent). Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be 3 teams dedicated to pressuring washing, curb painting, and flower planting. Volunteers will be given directions upon arrival, and from there the cleanup will commence.
There’s no place like Houma, and we want to take pride in where we live! If you feel the same, we hope to see you this Sunday.
