Greek Company Invests in Houma Logistics Hub

Alexander/Ryan Marine & Safety (ARMS) has invested over $3.5 million to establish an assembly facility and service center in a 10-acre, four-building site in East Houma

ARMS will manage and coordinate customized maritime products and services and various marine safety products, including lifeboat systems, sea jet submersible pump systems, life rafts and personnel baskets.

Stavros Lalizas, founder/CEO of parent company Lalizas Group of Piraeus, Greece, aims to serve the maritime industry by assisting in the development and growth of the community. Parish President Gordon Dove is grateful for the jobs this new opportunity will create in Terrebonne Parish.

Terrebonne Parish's Planning and Zoning Department and the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority (TEDA) worked with ARMS to obtain the required permits for the new facility, which is located at 205 E. Woodlawn Ranch Road

ARMS will build its workforce locally, and career opportunities will be listed at laworks.net. Renovations should be completed in time for the company to begin operating in the last quarter of 2021.
